It’s been a great week for seeing strange new animals.

Bettie spotted this frog on the door in the carport.

He’s pretty cute and inquisitive.

And doesn’t mind when we take flash pictures.

We haven’t seen him since that night.

Another one-time visitor is this salamander. Neat blue spots on his black body!

He doesn’t win in any of the intelligence categories, though. He thinks that if his head is buried, he’s invisible.

He may not be a salamander. Might be a newt. Probably not a skink or a gecko.

The rarest of critters has never been observed in Ohio before – the friendly hummingbird.
