So Longhorn didn’t happen.  The wait was about an hour and fifteen minutes – much better than the two-and-a-half hours from the other location.  Still too long.

We ended up at Betta’s Italian Oven (reviewed here and here), where we had a delightful Valentine’s Day dinner at a place that has a wood-fired oven.  We’ll be going back there.

The place I don’t want to go back to is the weather.  The snowstorm that was supposed to miss us is now taking dead aim, promising 6 to 9 inches on top of the 11-ish we have now.  That’s unless we fall into the “special attention” category, or maybe if we are just the proud owners of the billionth snowflake.  If things line up just so, we could get 8 to 10 inches.

I’d like to celebrate, but I’m too busy planning my snow shoveling.
