I finished reading through the book of Romans recently. I’m wanting to dig deeper, so I’m also reading Warren Wiersbe’s Be Right (not too in-depth at 175 pages, but some real good insights). I also have James Edwards’ New International Biblical Commentary on Romans, a book that’s twice as good at over 350 pages.  I also have Jack Cottrell’s NIV Commentary on Romans, from College Press (but without the CD this version has).  An even better book at 600 pages.

But there’s something to going back to basics, and actually reading the Bible.

Romans 12:14 is a good verse, often used.  I like the NASB version:

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

but it was the same verse from The Message that hit me this time:

Bless your enemies; no cursing under your breath.

Has God been watching me drive?
