They’re growing, although not very fast.

Some mid-season observations:

  • I mixed the dirt wrong.  Something that leaks out when I water them is killing the plants.  The dead sections are where water drips down from the holes in the buckets.  It’s also hurting the stems of the plants.
  • It’s harder to keep these guys watered.  We’ve had pretty decent rainfalls, but I still have to get out more than I’d like.  They’re dependent on me.
  • Tomatoes want to grow upwards.  I don’t know what is happening with the roots inside the buckets.  I imagine it’s not normal.
  • Even easy tomatoes aren’t as easy as they make it look on TV.
