This is the recipe for a double-batch of chocolate mousse.  I got the single-serving recipe from a co-worker after I tasted this at the department Christmas party (no, that isn’t what they called it, but that’s what it was).

Too Much Chocolate Mousse

Heat the following in a sauce pan, on low:

  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 pint half and half
  • 4 big marshmallows (yes, four individual large white things.  A small portion of the whole bag.)
  • 1 large package of Hershey dark chocolate kisses (18 oz)

While this is heating, put 12 ounces of Whoppers in the blender, and turn them into dust.

Once the marshmallows have mostly melted, pour the melted chocolate into the Whopper dust and beat for four minutes on “liquefy”.

Pour this hot mixture into the serving container and chill for a day.  Top with whipped cream.  A dusting of nutmeg is nice.

No pix – we were busy cooking today.  And probably no leftovers from tomorrow’s party, either.  It is that good.
